New York City Council members from Manhattan and Brooklyn, Carlin Rivera and Justin Brennan, introduced the bill. Since foie gras is not included in the diet of New Yorkers, this dish must be banned.
Restaurants serving foie gras are planned to be fined $ 1,000 and / or imprisoned for 1 year.
French restaurants did not comment on this innovation, only two cooks, on condition of complete anonymity, gave him the definition of utter stupidity. If the law was passed, they agreed to remove the foie gras from the menu.
