It is hard to imagine that a watermelon could be the size of a bead. However, Turkish innovators were able not only to imagine such a culture, but also to realize this fantasy. And as part of the 26th International Gastronomic Exhibition, which takes place annually in Turkey, local breeders presented their development to the public.
The audience took the miniature watermelons with a bang! Indeed, the uniqueness of this product is not only in size: the peel of berries, the size of which does not exceed the dimensions of olives, resembles watermelon to taste, but juicy flesh has a taste and aroma of cucumber.
“We are confident that families with children will appreciate our berry,” say the breeders who own the idea. “Mini-watermelons will be packaged in small boxes, the cost of which will not exceed one and a half dollars for each.”
You can buy pea watermelons in almost every deli in Turkey.
