Throughout 2018-2019 EU officials conducted three checks of the control system for poultry health, poultry meat production and products from it, the State Food and Consumer Service said.
According to controllers, Ukrainian manufacturers successfully passed all three checks. Specialists from Europe confirmed the high level of qualification of employees of the State Food and Beverage Service regarding EU requirements, the effectiveness of official control and the compliance of Ukrainian producers with EU rules, agency officials said.
Only manufacturers who adhere to EU laws can deliver food products to EU countries. Production at such enterprises is continuously under the supervision of European experts, the State Food and Beverage Service said.
More than three years ago, Ukraine approved a strategy containing over 250 acts of the European Union, according to which the experts of the State Food and Beverage Service carry out sanitary and phytosanitary control, as well as analyze the health and well-being of representatives of flora and fauna.
This document is included in the action plan for the implementation of the Association Agreement, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated October 25, 2017 No. 1106.
The State Food and Beverage Service at the proper level exercises control over the production of chicken meat and poultry products, and the products of Ukrainian producers meet the requirements of the European Union, the controllers summed up.
