High agricultural crop yields from the food sector by the end of 2019 will allow vegetables to fall in price from the end of August to the beginning of September.
According to information shared by experts from the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, deflation, based on forecasts, should not exceed 0.1% when compared with the end of the summer of 2018.
It is noteworthy that the situation of the current year will occur in parallel with an increase in the amount of tax rates, the trend of which has been outlined since the beginning of 2019.It will not be superfluous to note that deflation in the market will be formed by an unprecedented abundance of agricultural products over the past few years, which is problematic to be stored in today's vegetable stores.
According to analysts from the Plekhanov Russian Institute of Economics, despite the fact that vegetables will fall in price, this will not affect buyers - the consumer will give as much money for potatoes, cabbage, carrots, beets and other crops as a year ago if not more. The reason for this will be such factors as: an increase in the value added tax, an increase in the rate of consumer lending and a weakening of the position of the Russian ruble.
