In the Rostov region, the number of pigs has significantly decreased.

It is known that by June 1 of this year in the assets of agricultural and farming facilities in the region, the total number of pigs does not exceed three hundred fifty eight thousand heads.

For clarity, it should be noted that this indicator is more than eight and a half percent inferior to the number of pigs in the Don agricultural expanses at the same date in 2018.

Such information was shared with the general public by employees of the press center of the Federal State Statistics Service in the Rostov Region. Also, the department noted that the number of goats, as well as sheep livestock, had significantly decreased in the region.

And today they are three and a half percent less (the total number as of July 1, 2019 is one hundred twenty six thousand eight hundred goals) than a year earlier.

But encouraging dynamics are demonstrated by individuals of cattle - since the beginning of the year, the number of Don cattle has increased by almost three percent, and today it is about six hundred and fifty-five thousand heads. The share of cows is two hundred and seventy nine thousand two hundred heads, employees of Rostovstat noted.
