Ukraine resumed work on the possibility of exporting eggs and beef meat to Israel, said Olga Trofimtseva, Acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, after talks with Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Yoel Lyon.

In 2018, Ukrainian producers exported $ 337.2 million worth of agricultural products to Israel for export. Import totaled $ 11.2 million.
Together with the State Food and Beverage Service, Olga Trofimtseva is working to restore egg sales to Israel and is trying to get permission to supply beef meat. The results of this work, O. Trofimtseva hopes to wait this year. According to the Agreement on the FTA of Ukraine with Israel, which was signed this year, duty-free quotas for the import of such goods have been established: poultry, eggs, dairy products, honey, wheat, frozen vegetables, wineries products, sunflower oil, some bakery products and juices, as well as other products. The zero duty rate is applied when delivering such products as: fish, its loin, rapeseed oil, canned vegetables and more. Over the next seven years akzhe be abolished duties on such agro-food products: nuts, spices, tobacco, confectionery, vegetables, fruit, canned meat, corn starch, ketchup and homemade sauces, and more.
