About two thousand units of specialized agricultural machinery in the Republic of Belarus are currently inoperative.
Such information was shared by representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country, who revealed massive malfunctions in the technical park of farmers during the annual inspection of machines for the next harvesting agricultural campaign.
It is important to emphasize that over sixty pieces of equipment in the assets of Belarusian farmers cannot be repaired.
It should also be added that from June 1, 2019, when, in fact, mass monitoring of agricultural machinery began for the new season of field work, seven hundred seventy-six Belarusian farms were subject to verification. More than a hundred thousand units of special machinery and equipment were examined on the basis of the enterprises' data.
Statistics show that during the audit the lion's share of malfunctions was found in the assets of the farms of the Mogilev region and the capital region. It is also indicative that after a mass audit more than seventy representatives of agricultural enterprises were brought to administrative responsibility.
The reason is simple - negligent farmers committed petty theft. It will not be superfluous to note that in the process of monitoring the harvesting campaign, law enforcement officers were able to solve seventeen crimes, among which bribery is leading, as well as the theft of spare parts and equipment.
