The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine noted the improvement in the quality of milk, which was supplied in 2018 to processing plants by the population and agricultural enterprises of the country.

The quality of milk received for processing in Ukraine has become higher. This is evidenced by statistics that indicate an increase compared to the same period last year, the supply of extra-grade milk by 32.8%, the highest grade - 5.0% and the decrease in purchases of I-grade milk by 8.7%, II-grade - 16 , 6%, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

In general, in 2018, processing plants received over 4 million tons of milk. Of these, 345.7 thousand tons were supplied on a toll basis and 25 thousand tons were produced by processing plants. Agricultural enterprises supplied 2.7 million tons of milk, the country's population - over 1 million tons.

In 2018, 10 million 64.0 thousand tons of milk were produced on the territory of Ukraine, of which 7 million 308.3 thousand tons of agricultural enterprises were produced by agricultural enterprises - 2 million 755.7 thousand tons, according to indicators obtained by the State Service statistics of Ukraine.

Earlier it was reported that sales of condensed milk in Ukraine decreased significantly, due to lower demand for the product. If in 2012 Ukrainian producers produced 105.1 thousand tons of product, then in 2018 - only 72 thousand tons.
