In addition to the stock for gardens, black walnut can be used as valuable forest timber in the forest belt instead of poplars. After 35 years, the forest belt of such trees can reliably protect from the wind and bring considerable funds from the sale of wood.

Alexander Oryol, a specialist in walnut farming at Kolos Agrofirm LLC, added that a cubic meter of boards from the most expensive traditional Ukrainian wood, red oak, costs 20 thousand UAH, and a cubic meter of black walnut boards costs 120 thousand UAH. This tree is used in the manufacture of samples of expensive hunting weapons, as well as in the manufacture of furniture.
