The talented farmer Heinrich Straton is also known among his neighbors in the Transcarpathian region as a successful breeder. The result of his development, Henry shared with users of the social network Facebook.
On the Web, Straton showed off shots of an innovative fruit and admitted that kiwi can already be tasted.
“This is the first crop from trees that have been growing with me for four years,” Henry confesses. “It all started as an experiment in growing persistent fruits on the open ground.”
It is noteworthy that the variety, which was bred by the breeder from the village of Storozhnitsa, located near Uzhgorod, has established itself as frost-resistant.
“Frosts sometimes reached minus twenty-two degrees Celsius. - recalls Straton. “But my kiwis not only withstood such a cold, but also presented a harvest.”
The farmer called his invention "Carpathian Straton Valentine." We are not talking about the sale of seedlings, since Henry is still continuing to experiment with kiwi.
