Crassula, or krasula, is widely used in indoor floriculture. In addition to decorative functions, its popularity is associated with properties attributed to the plant by various signs. Traditional medicine also uses the fat girl in its recipes. You can find out about the benefits and harms of krasula, as well as get acquainted with recipes and superstitions in this article.
Chemical composition
There is no exact and detailed study of the composition of the Crassula, however, it is known that the plant accumulates arsenic in the leaves. This chemical element is a poison and is used in official medicine with extreme caution in the minimum dosage, for example, in dentistry for killing a nerve.
Did you know? The round leaves of the Crassula look like coins, which is why the plant is often called the "money tree." In England they call her «friendship tree good luck» and often given for housewarming.
Benefits and healing properties
In folk medicine, it is believed that the juice of the Crassula has a wound healing and antiviral effect. It is believed that the fat woman, in addition to healing, has phytoncidal properties, due to which it cleans the air well in the room.
- Medicinal properties of the plant can be useful in the following cases:
- with skin damage from minor injuries and insect bites;
- to remove long-standing corns;
- with varicose veins, hemorrhoids, arthrosis and arthritis;
- for the treatment of severe cough and throat diseases;

Harm
Due to the lack of knowledge of the composition and properties of the plant by official sources, its use inside without the recommendation of a doctor should be avoided.
- Money tree juice can cause:
- dizziness and vomiting;
- loss of consciousness and serious poisoning.
Precautionary measures
It is forbidden to use drugs from any part of the pulp for pregnant women, nursing mothers, and also children. Reception of tincture or juice inside is possible only after consultation with a specialist. Arsenic refers to substances that are able to accumulate in the body, so their dosage should be strictly observed.

Omens and superstition
The Chinese doctrine of feng shui considers the fat girl one of the most effective ways to attract wealth. The best result will be achieved with your own growing the plant. The tree should stand in a lighted place in the southeast of the house, where, as it is believed, the wealth zone is located.
Did you know? The Chinese name for Crassulaceae is a jadeite or jade plant, as these stones are symbols of longevity and well-being.
It is not recommended to put the pot near the cacti, and chrysanthemum or orange will be good neighbors. When planting krasuli in a pot, it is advised to bury the most expensive coin, and tie a red ribbon to the tree, which activates monetary energy.
The most common signs are:
- if the leaves of the fatty tree fall, then financial losses are possible or poor energy has settled in the house;
- in order for the plans to be implemented with minimal costs, you need to tell the tree about your financial condition;
- when wiping the leaves, they should be counted, because “money loves counting”;
- krasulu is not placed near electrical appliances that inhibit financial energy;
- banknotes are often hung on a tree, which are then exchanged for new ones;
- the Chinese are planting dragon figurines on the branches for wealth, and owls for saving. Three red lights near the trunk will enhance the energy of the plant;
- for the New Year, the tree is decorated with sweets in a golden wrapper with red ribbons.
It is also known that the money tree fades and loses foliage where a person is seriously ill. Human recovery entails the recovery of the plant. A special sign of good fortune is the blooming of the Crassula, which happens extremely rarely at home. The appearance of small flowers is a time to make a wish, a sign of an unexpected inheritance or a win.
Despite the long history of the use of the pulp in folk medicine, its effect on the body has not been officially studied. Precautions must be taken when treating with a money tree, and everyone can check their positive impact on financial well-being independently.
