Due to adverse weather conditions, the Western Bug company (Lviv region) was faced with a difficult situation in the crops of late spring crops.
In particular, soybeans suffered from a lot of rain. Too much rain in April-May (about 270 mm) stretched the sowing, which is not yet finished.
Abnormal sowing dates reduced potential yields, the herbicidal-soil scheme did not work on a certain part of the land, as a result, a large increase in weeds is expected. The condition of the crops is very different - from the appearance of cotyledon leaves and up to four true leaves.
The potential productivity of the areas sown in the best time is 3.5-3.8 t / ha. At the same time, the expected average productivity will be at the level of 2018 or slightly lower, company employees noted.
“Western Bug” sowed corn almost in the best possible time - 80% were sown before April 27, another 20% - until May 5.
Now the seedlings are not bad, the density is about 80 thousand plants / ha. Part of the cultivated area was flooded (the total area was approximately 30 hectares). On waterlogged lands, plants develop inhibited, they do not have enough heat, and soil moisture is too high.
The projected yield of corn is 9-11 t / ha. At the same time, the condition of spring wheat and peas in the fields of the company is good, development is proceeding according to the usual calendar terms.
