The other day, analysts from the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-being published the results of the work of inspectors of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare in 2018.
In particular, it became known that over one hundred and fifty thousand samples of meat products were selected for research from the retail outlets of the Russian Federation last year.
The results of the analyzes are staggering: according to the results of studies, four hundred tons of meat and meat products had to be withdrawn from sales, which did not meet the sanitary, veterinary and hygienic requirements in force in Russia.
It is known that over ninety percent of products withdrawn from sale were rejected due to an unsatisfactory microbiological condition. In most cases, “surprises” such as salmonella, E. coli, and Listeria were found in meat samples.
According to representatives of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being, similar information will be published in the near future regarding the volumes of milk and dairy products rejected by Rospotrebnadzor experts and the reasons for their withdrawal from wholesale and retail sales.
