Shropshire milking parlor maker Fullwood Packo, based in Shropshire, has announced plans to acquire a Dutch dealer network. The object of the purchase is Mewitec BV, a Dutch organization of seven dealers who import, retail, install and provide technical support for intelligent Fullwood Packo milking and cooling solutions in the Netherlands.
The deal makes Mewitec a subsidiary of Fullwood Packo, which gives the group direct trading relations with farmers throughout the Netherlands.
Andrew Dodwell, managing director of Fullwood Packo Dairy Group, said: “The acquisition of the entire stake in Mewitec is a great strategic opportunity for the group, as it gives us the opportunity to work more closely with our dealers in the Netherlands. It also makes it possible to significantly expand our presence in the Dutch market and increase our market share in continental Europe. ”Also, Andrew Dodwell emphasized that “the purchase gives us access to a wealth of experience in the form of five new colleagues, each of whom is well known and respected in the Netherlands, and who we are sure will help Fullwood Packo grow significantly over the next five years.”
In the short term, Mewitec's business will continue to operate normally until rebranding under the name Fullwood Packo BV.
