A few days ago a workshop was held for farmers of Buryatia, as well as for representatives of the public catering sector, on the preparation of authentic sweets from local farm products.

In particular, the organizers of the event, relying on the budget allocated by the state authorities, showed confectioners how to cook a variety of sweets - 8 types of desserts with a rich history.

Among other recipes, farmers and cooks were especially interested in Buryat toffee, made from whey with the addition of sugar and ghee from the milk of local cows. This is an old recipe, which previously made it possible to cook a favorite treat of the Buryats, but today has been unjustly forgotten.

Having mastered the technology of preparing unique toffee, Buryat craftsmen decided to register them as a regional brand and prepare this dessert not only for residents of Buryatia, but also for sweet tooth from different parts of Russia. And also send for export - to surprise foreigners with unusual sweetness and contribute to the development of the country's economy.
