The other day, the first meeting of the commission members took place, which makes a decision on the distribution of the so-called “Leningrad hectares” and financial assistance, which will go towards the implementation of organizational aspects and the initial tasks of future agricultural entrepreneurs.

It should be noted that in the competition, where the main prize is the very desired hectare of land, one and a half dozen contestants took part. All of them presented to the head of the commission and the authorized board their strategies for the development of agricultural entrepreneurship on the territory of the “Leningrad hectares”.

In particular, potential business farmers presented such projects as: growing potatoes, producing strawberries, raising cattle and small livestock for the production of meat, milk, leather and wool, as well as raising bees and poultry.

It should be noted that almost all business plans were convincing and impressed the commission, but the final results and the verdict as to which of the contestants will get the desired hectares and generous subsidies will be announced next Monday - June 24, 2019.

In addition to land and money, the winners of the competition will also have a unique chance to become recipients of agricultural subsidies for the purchase of animals, high-quality seed material, as well as special equipment and for the organization of infrastructure on their farms.
