Large consignments of sausage from Mongolia arrived at the Buryat counters. Everything would be fine if these products were not infected with the African swine fever virus, an epidemic of which is rampant today in most countries of the world.
Sausage with "plague greetings" came to Russia through the checkpoint "Kyakhta" and settled on the shelves of Ulan-Ude, as well as in retail outlets in Burguzinsky, Dzhidinsky, Zakamensky, Selenginsky, Kabansky, Kurumkansky, Kyakhtinsky and Zaigraevsky areas.
The sale of infected sausage was carried out for several days, from February 1 to 5, until the employees of the regional department of the Rosselkhoznadzor checked and found the causative agent of ASF in some types of Mongolian sausages.
Thus, the genome of African pork plague was identified in such meat products as: Mongolian sausage, Khan's feast, cooked sausage product “Gifts of Mongolia” and “Doctoral from Mongolia”, salami “Ulan-Bator” and other products of the company “ Hoons Complex. " All products with the plague genome, as well as other goods of dubious quality, were withdrawn from circulation and sent for additional research.
