The process of processing sugar beet in the Krasnodar Territory this year is taking place significantly ahead of the originally set pace. Especially when compared with last year.

In particular, employees of the analytical department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation shared data with the press service on how quickly sixteen Krasnodar processing complexes convert four million tons of sugar beets into sugar.

So, since the beginning of the season more than three million seven hundred thousand tons of beets have already been processed, from which five hundred twenty-four thousand tons of sugar have been obtained.

For a clear comparison, it should be noted that a year earlier, by the same date in September 2018, Krasnodar processors produced thirty-six percent less sugar than this year.

It is noteworthy that by joint efforts the sugar producers of the Russian Federation through the processing of beets this year received one million tons of sugar. The Krasnodar Territory accounts for twenty percent of national production.
