Sugar beet this year has generously and qualitatively freed. From 5.7 thousand hectares, farmers harvested more than 255 thousand tons of root crops, the Department of Agriculture of the Chernigov Region reported. According to the agency, this year the average yield of sugar beets in the Chernihiv region amounted to about 455 centners per hectare.

“Yes, sugar beets are fully harvested, but our farmers are not relaxing, as there is an active collection of sunflower and soybeans ahead,” the department notes. - They managed to collect corn and cereals in the first half of November. To collect all this crop, our farmers cultivated almost 600 thousand hectares and covered 84% of the planned territories. "

We add that the Chernihiv region this year is the leader in sugar beet productivity. Last year, this status was earned in the Vinnitsa region.
